SCHOOLS' PRIZE
A Cat's Tail by Alan Moult proved to be the
favourite with the 7,812 children who attended the recent school screenings.
After
the closing ceremony, the Festival gives pride of place to the
Jica Enfants for a whole week of screenings.
This year 7,812 children aged between 5 and 11 from 64 schools around the
region were able to sample the Festival fare.
Continuing the Festival's tribute to Italy, the programme kicked off with an
episode of La Linea, which immediately enchanted the young
audience, followed by a selection of shorts from Annecy 2006, previously
chosen by a group of teachers.
The children's' vote for their favourite film went to A Cat's Tail
by Alan Moult.
